Due to the wide range of interdependencies and interactions involved, level crossings are among the most complex structures in both rail and road transport. A key planning task is to determine the location of the activation points. This requires numerous parameters from structural and safety engineering designs.
In this two-day online seminar, you will learn how to calculate activation distances correctly in accordance with the regulations of Deutsche Bahn and non-federally owned railways, using the Excel tool for DB Guideline 815. The various combinations of protection and supervision types will each be briefly explained in theory, and the calculations will be carried out together using examples.
Important note: The seminar will be held in German language.
